About Laura

Hi! I’m Laura. I am am so happy you stopped by my website. Sometimes I can’t believe this is part of my job, and I love being able to share with you! I have so many passions, and hopefully you’ve been able to grasp a few of them by perusing my site, but this is where I get to tell you a little more about just me.

I grew up in Texas and Colorado, and have a deep love affair with the mountains and all their secrets. There is something about nature that makes me feel small–but in a good way!

I am the middle girl of 5, and I say that with pride. My family is passionately crazy, and wonderfully lovable, and I get to be (literally) in the middle of them. I never have to wonder where I get my quirky, emotional and creative spirit.

My passion for photography, and my bit of craziness landed me with one of the most loving and creative men I know. My husband and I met at a work meeting in June 2008, and were married in June 2009. It has been an amazing journey so far with him, and his support in everything I do, his ability to be the best dad in the world, and his leadership in our family gives me the grounding I need to feel like I can do anything. I am thankful for him, and love the journey we are on together.

I am a mother of one sprightly little boy who can’t make it a day without making me laugh, sometimes making me cry, and definitely always filling my heart with joy. Sometimes he wears me out, and I count the minutes before bedtime, but I always find myself wanting to sneak in for an extra smooch from that sweet little monster even after he falls into dreamland. I can’t believe I get the privilege of being his mama, and I pray I can be what he needs me to be.

The most important thing you should know about me is there are two things that mean the most to me, and both of them are the motivators behind everything I do. The community I hope to grow, the photography and art I get to create, the diy, essential oils and recipes I do, they all stem from these two motivators.  My motivators are my faith in God and love for my family. They both lead me to grasp on to beauty and love, community and nature, and push me to strive for splendid!

Now that you know a little more about me, I hope you say hello. If you’re looking to capture your story in front of a lens, wanting to ask about essential oils or hoping to join a community, please reach out! I’d love to hear from you!
